Gaming laptops, MacBooks, student picks, and budget buys — what to expect this December and which models to watch now.
Last updated: April 2026
Cyber Monday is the single best day of the year to buy a laptop. Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and direct manufacturer stores all run competing deals — and they know shoppers are comparing tabs. That competition drives prices down harder than any other time of year.
Based on the past three years of Cyber Monday laptop deals, here's what reliably happens: gaming laptops with RTX 40-series GPUs drop $200–$300 off retail. MacBook Air models hit their annual low — usually $100–$200 under Apple Store pricing. Student laptops in the $400–$600 range lose another $100–$150. Chromebooks that normally sit at $299 drop to $199 or lower.
The models below are our top picks for Cyber Monday 2026 — selected based on value, expected discount depth, and real-world performance. We'll update this page as deals go live in late November.
Cyber Monday wins for most shoppers. Black Friday deals are often in-store only, have limited stock, and require camping out or fighting crowds. Cyber Monday deals run entirely online, have broader inventory, and are easier to compare across retailers in real time.
Gaming laptops: Both days are strong, but Cyber Monday deals often extend through the following week (Cyber Week). If you miss Monday, check back Tuesday and Wednesday.
MacBooks: Apple rarely discounts directly, but Amazon and Best Buy both offer MacBook deals on Cyber Monday. The M3 MacBook Air has dropped $150–$200 off retail in the past two Cyber Mondays.
Budget laptops: The $200–$300 category moves the most on Cyber Monday. These are gift-tier purchases and retailers know it. Expect HP, Lenovo, and Acer models to drop to their floor price.
